Sadly, I Heart in NYC is no more. They closed their doors on May 24 of this year after 5 glorious years. I remember first learning about I Heart in an issue of Nylon and then adding them to my list of places to check out when I visited NYC. It was a hidden gem with an open underground space, cool wall art, and most of all, a great selection of to-die-for brands.
I Heart ended their run with a bang by hosting Die Heart with a Vengeance!, a $12 open bar all night party at Shangrila in Greenpoint, NYC with bands, Children and Love or Perish and Djs, Max Wowch, J Penry, and Max Pask.

And in remembrance of another great store which has since turned into an American Apparel... Factory People in Austin (and no, I don't care what Austin hipsters said about the high prices). Coveted brands, in-store DJ sets, lofty proportions, and more. It was sad to see you go, but fortunately for those who still care, there is the occasional Factory People pop-up shop.
