This past week was definitely the longest work week I have ever experienced. Going home at midnight and waking back up at 6 is no fun. Unfortunately, that meant any Halloween plans were up in the air and a Halloween costume? Don't even think about it. My motto is: "If you don't go big, go as nothing at all." Don't feel bad for me though. What could have been a ruined Halloween ended up turning out pretty pleasant. Bryan and I stopped by a small local theater to catch some short plays produced and directed by a couple of coworkers (you didn't know lawyers could act or direct did you?) and ended the night at a friend's Halloween soiree. The party was very accommodating for those without a costume. I utilized the blank labels and Sharpie awaiting me at the front door, and voila! an instant Steve Irwin costume (RIP). I also chowed down on candy corn (my fave!) and green finger cookies while getting in some extra convo time with friends I rarely get to hang out with.
Hope everyone had a happy Halloween and yay to sugar comas!
