I came across this lovely Isabel Marant lookalike whilst browsing the Urban Outfitters site. I know some people have a love/hate relationship with the company, but I've found many good pickins lately from the website and even the store. Yes, those Minimarket wedges that retail for $360+, I actually found at UO as a return, and they so happened to be in my size and marked down to $50. Even the salesgirl was shocked and seemed disappointed that she didn't grab them before I did.
Isabel Marant Ritchi on Gisele:
and on Kate Bosworth and Rumi:
Obviously, the knit is not as thick as IM's and the neckline is less crew and more boatneck, but it has a similar color scheme and space dye look that pairs well with just about anything. The UO version is a great fall staple because of its lightweight knit and rolled cropped sleeves, and it has a nice slouchyness that I appreciate a lot more these days.

On a different note, I made ribs for the 1st time! Adventurous, right? I try to stay away from cooking big hunks of meat and let Bryan deal with that, but I'm glad I got out of my comfort zone to try my hand at some tender pork goodness. Used my uncle's secret rib recipe and brought these babies to a friend's cookout. Luckily, they turned out well, which I think automatically gets me invited to the next party.

Oh, my goodness...
ReplyDeleteI saved this campaign image to my laptop ages ago - because I love, but never thought it possible to afford, the Marant jumper - and here you are, wearing one equally as lovely but so much more affordable.
You are one very clever - and very beautifully dressed! - lady. :0)
