Before Givenchy came out with their shark tooth necklaces, I had admired a bartender's oversized shark tooth necklace in choker form. It was one of those shapes that I couldn't get out of my head and thus started my search for a decent substitute to her beautiful sterling silver version. The ones I found fell short- they were either too small, not weighty enough or didn't capture the right shape. Then one day, while browsing through Fab.com (a great site for all you design lovers), I came across this beautiful necklace that met all my expectations. Its size and form were perfect, at least for me. Not everyone can pull off Jayne's Givenchy number.
I love that necklace! You look so cute.

Cool that you found a shark tooth necklace that works for you and it's very cool! Love how it can add that extra something to any look without being overpowering. Great find!

Do you know, (that's my favourite starting phrase when I start speaking) that shark pendant is the perfect size. If I had seen it, I would have walked away but it looks fab against your tee. It lifts a simple outfit although the red Marants do that very well on their own. My favourite piece - your little vintage bag - I was scanning through to see where that was from and it's vintage of course.
ReplyDeleteSome of my favorite bags are from thrift stores! This particular one (for a mere $2) was calling out my name with its fancy little shape.
DeleteI love this look! the striped top is amazing with those red shoes :)

I looove a good breton top! You should definitely try out armor lux, I love the loctudy, which is a thicker cotton jersey, with a woven (not printed) stripe and just the right amount of boxiness.

I've been looking at Armor Lux shirts! It seems to be highly preferred among the breton crowd. Thank you for the suggestion!
DeleteMy dream sneakers, love this red ! Love the breton stripes together with the shark necklace. It gives an edgy touch to the ensemble !
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm really glad I picked up the red ones. They definitely fill a void in my shoe stash. Something bright, stylish, yet comfy!
DeleteCongrats on finding that necklace! Love your outfit as well! So nicely paired the breton striped shirt with those amazing sneakers!
ReplyDeleteI really thought my shark necklace search was kaput until I came across the one from Fashionology. Love how it adds a little edge to a simple outfit.
DeleteThank you so much for your comment on my blog :)

Love LOVE your outfit. It's simple but oh so chic. I'd never thought of red sneakers but your Bobbys are fab with skinny jeans and striped top.
ReplyDeleteThank you Marlene! I try to treat the red Bobbys like a neutral with a pop. It actually complements my wardrobe pretty well. You'd be surprised how many colors go with red!
